Become a Volunteer
Volunteers are an integral and indispensable part of the Zambia-Australia Relief Association’s determination towards pursuing its goals. We thank all our volunteers who self-sacrifice and support our daily activities. Without their time, energy, skills and physical commitment, it would have been impossible to run our initial campaigns. This year a number of volunteers offered their valuable time to sort and package donated children clothing, prams and many other material items intended for distribution to the orphans of Katete. Three storage full of material has been collected which will be packed in a forty foot container and transported to Zambia in the month of April 2019.
People of all ages, backgrounds and professions can volunteer with us, so please fill out the form on our website and return to us via e-mail on info@zaara.org.au.
We accept new and pre-loved clothing, shoes, bags and blankets from the general public.
The generous donations are used:
• For international and local human appeal projects (if in good and fair condition)
• In future, for sale in our yet to be established charity shops to raise funds for our operations(if item is brand new or in excellent condition)
• New and pre-loved (clean, washed and in good condition) clothing donations (including shoes) for men, women and children can be donated to ZAARA by phoning 046 390 194 or 0405 570 958.
